Information about how to support us will be posted soon.

In the meantime, here is some information about our scholarship program.

Each year the Black Achievers Society awards a minimum of four scholarships to area high school students. We are proud to announce the availability of ten $1000 scholarships for African American graduating seniors in the upcoming school year.

The selection of these students is from the greater metropolitan area. Schools may nominate students who best meet the following scholarship criteria: academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community/civic involvement, and financial need.

Please have the enclosed forms completed and returned to the Scholarship Selection Committee by December 10, 2011. Students will be notified by December 23, 2011 of their status. Students and their families are invited to our annual Martin Luther King Celebration hosted by The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in January where they will be recognized for their achievement.

Your continued assistance in helping us identify scholarship recipients is appreciated. Please include a copy of the student’s transcript, a letter from the student stating why he or she should be considered for a scholarship, and other requested information.

This information must be postmarked by December 15, 2011 and mailed to:
