Keion Jackson

Senior Writer

“Creative” is a word one could use to describe Keion Jackson. Mr. Jackson is a Senior Writer with Hallmark Cards, Inc. He has worked with the company for seven years. As a Senior Writer, Keion writes greeting cards with editorial tones ranging from humorous to heartfelt. He observes emotional relationships and social behaviors and applies the findings to product. Additional responsibilities include writing copy for home and gift products, providing multicultural insights, assisting with the development of internal programs and initiatives, as well as brainstorming names and phrases for toys and stuffed animals.

Keion’s contributions to Hallmark also encompass being a published author. Keion has written four books that were published by the company — one of which was named one of the 101 Best Books of 2015 by The Kansas City Star. While that accomplishment is impressive, Keion’s had many other professional achievements. They include being recognized by many external groups, which include The Kansas City Film Festival, The Las Vegas Black Film Festival, and The Bronzelens Film Festival of Atlanta, where his work received a Best Short Film nomination from BET Networks.

Keion has found ways to link his passion for the arts with his volunteer efforts. He served as a YouthFriends mentor for four years. He currently leads the Hallmark/Paseo Academy of Performing Arts writing partnership. He even volunteered at Camp Jill Scott with Mahogany Cards, Inc., co-creating a writing workshop and presenting it to inner-city youth. Coupled with writing, speaking, and producing, another fine talent of Keion’s is singing. Keion is a vocalist in The Thank You Notes, a group of Hallmark volunteers that sings at local hospitals and nursing homes.

Mr. Jackson is a portrait of art framed with a creative spirit. His work at Hallmark Cards, Inc. and within the community provides color for a background of hope.
